$150 (total cost including instruction and materials)
Description:
On June 6th, we’ll cover all things spindle-turning related. This course is for those interested in turning for furniture or architectural details (as opposed to bowl turning – which we will discuss during the class but not attempt). Held at our lathe studio on campus, we’ll practice turning with the four common spindle turning tools – the roughing gouge, skew, parting tool, and spindle gouge. With these four tools, and a little practice, you’ll be able to produce turned details to your future projects.
A fully catered lunch is included and served every day and drinks and snacks are provided all day. Please let us know in advance of any special dietary needs. It is a good idea to make your lodging reservations well in advance.
