Windsor Side Table

$475 (total cost including instruction and materials)

Description:

The windsor form is characterized by all parts terminating at a common piece.  In a windsor chair, that’s the seat, where the legs and upper assemble all come to meet.  We’ll use that same design and technology to make our small windsor table.

This is primarily a wood turning course, as first we’ll practice at the lathe, then turn the legs and stretchers, along with the table top, before assembling the parts on the final day.

Tables will be made of cherry or walnut.  We will also discuss turning details and students can produce the leg – and the look – of their choosing.  (Two are depicted to show different details, though we’ll only create one during the class).

A fully catered lunch is included and served every day and drinks and snacks are provided all day. Please let us know in advance of any special dietary needs. It is a good idea to make your lodging reservations well in advance.
